Motorola is now officially part of Lenovo
On January 29 it was announced that Lenovo would buy Motorola . Specifically, the Mobility Division which is responsible for the company’s mobile devices. During the ten months, the various regional regulators have been approved operation.Today, October 30, Lenovo makes the official purchase through a press release on its website.
Lenovo is involved, in addition to their own smartphones in the business of convertible tablets, computers and other accessories which makes themselves a competitor in the smartphone market. Now home to a historic phone maker after passing a bad time, it was acquired by Google (now we sense only for its patents) and returned to have relevance in the mobile phone. Especially in the low and mid range, thanks to lines of Moto G and Moto E. The Moto X spent more discreet, but has ended up being worth for Motorola who take charge of the construction of Nexus 6.
Motorola has announced that it will continue to focus on products with pure Android (Android + Google Services) and fast updates , as they have been doing with the bike. Need to know whether they can maintain perhaps more attractive in recent months: Prices demolition or if on the contrary will face another cost structure and the need for a greater margin of profit which are now part of Lenovo. We can only hope for the best.
